Fishing Mentor Camp

Adventure for girls and boys, along with their parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or other qualified adult. Space is limited to 9 camper/adult pairs. Arrive on Wednesday evening, depart on Saturday morning.

This camp pairs up a camper with a significant adult in their life. The primary activity is canoe fishing on both Little Silver and Big Silver Lakes. There will be short, effective fishing lessons. Fishing equipment will be available if needed.

Fishing takes place in the morning and evening, leaving the afternoon free for swimming, Bible lessons, free time, and other interesting activities. Evenings, after fishing, can include campfires, vespers (reflecting on your day), movie night, and time in the Upper Lodge for games.

Requirements:

  • Pass a swimming test the night you arrive -- swim the width of the pool, back and forth, and tread water for 3 minutes.

  • Be comfortable in a canoe for 1 - 2 hours, possibly longer.

    • NOTE: We are open to campers with limitations in these areas.

Mentoring Camp is open to all skill levels, with or without fishing equipment.
