North East Moravian Distaster Relief (NEMDR) has provided able hands for improvements and maintenance at Hope Center for the last since 2007. Come join the group on MAY 6-7, 2011 and learn some new skills and help out the Camp in a BIG WAY as we prepare for the summer camping season. Come for one day or both. Cabin space is available for any who wish to stay over. Meals are provided. A donation is requested to cover food costs. Contact Hope Center for more information, and look for a notice to arrive at your church in April with more details.
Volunteers play a vital role in Hope Center’s Ministry to young people. Here’s how you can volunteer this year!
ADULT COUNSELORS (age 18 and up, and two years older than the oldest campers being supervised) are essential for making a safe and enjoyable week at camp for all age groups. Counselors stay in cabins with the campers and provide supervision throughout the day.
JUNIOR COUNSELORS (age 16 and two years older than the oldest campers being supervised) can help at PrePrimary, Primary, Middler, Swim and Fishing Camps. Junor Counselors stay in cabins with campers and assist Counselors and progrm staff throughout the day. What a great way to spend more time at camp and enjoy sharing the camp experience with young campers.
NURSES AND EMTs: Camp is always looking for individuals to serve as health care providers during each week of summer camp. You must hold a current certification. Private air conditioned quarters with bathroom and shower facilities are provided. The Nurse is present for all program events to oversee safety for all participants, and is available for first aid and medication dispensing for all campers and staff. Meals, prayer and pool time is part of the package! Please share your skills with our campers and staff by contacting the Hope Office directly. 908-459-4435
HOW DO I SIGN UP??? You can volunteer for the week you are interested in by contacting the Weekly Dean (Leader) directly to offer your services. OR contact the Hope Center office to volunteer.
